Finding Just the Right Slogan Tee
Who doesn’t love a good slogan tee? There’s a saying for everyone – from wine drinkers, dog lovers, parents, athletes, yoga instructors…you name it, there’s a slogan for it. And it’s on a tee shirt.
And there are endless ways to style slogan tees. While casual in nature, they’re fun to mix with higher end items – like a sequin skirt, a tuxedo jacket or blazer, or traditional pencil skirt. They’re also perfect dressed down with jeans and a cardigan, denim jacket or moto.
Myself, I lean towards the sarcastic/snarky shirts. I do have one that’s like “It’s Going to be a Great Day,” but I wear it ironically. Ha ha. Really. I ordered an “I’m sorry I’m late, I didn’t want to come” sweatshirt, but it’s from China so would barely fit Janey (when will I ever learn?).
But I can’t really wear those to work!
So I finally found the perfect slogan tee for me. It’s not controversial, no one can take offense.
Ha! Side story…when my husband and I were in the last year of our marriage, in order to Not Fight, my response to like everything he said was “Oh.” Non-combative, non-argumentative, just “oh.” I don’t want to fight so I’m not going to really respond but I want you to know I heard you, so “oh.” Ha. I don’t remember how long this lasted – but it worked for awhile. It kept me calm and from engaging with whatever……he was saying.
And now it’s the perfect tee for me cuz I can wear it anywhere. In MY mind it’s a little snarky, but no one reading it would know that, so…it’s my own little inside joke.
Plus, it’s glittery! Which is just icing on the cake.
Mmmm, cake.
Do you wear slogan tees? What’s your favorite??

I remember when I first started seeing these graphic tees, I snubbed my nose at them. Isn’t that terrible? Yet now I LOVE them.
In fact, I’m taking a couple with me on my trip today. They just work for all occasions I think.
I used to have one back in college that was a smiley face with one eye. I’m not exactly sure why I liked it so much except it’s funny. To me, at least.
Anyways, we are both wearing sparkly tops today. That means we are fashion sisters!!
XOXO

Gasp! You were a tee shirt snob?!? Ha ha. I was an ankle booty snob. EW YUCK WEIRD! Now I LOVE them! I think I just need to see something a LOT of times before I become familiar enough with it to like it. I think that’s why style blogs are so good – before blogs, really the only place you saw people dressed in “new trends” was on the runway and in magazines – and those were not very realistic options. With blogs we see SO MANY THINGS on so many different kinds of people…it’s much easier to “fall in like” with something new (I feel a blog topic coming on!).
Sparkle Sisters, We! Hee hee! Have a great time on your trip to the WARM!

I am SO far behind reading blogs, so I’m starting and going backwards. Anyway, I LOVE the tee, especially if it glitters. I guess my favorite (of mine), is “Eat, Sleep, Stitch” (referring to cross stitch of course). Then there’s the sweatshirt from #1 son and his wife that says “Instant Human, Just add Coffee” – and that is SO me. I don’t have very many, and don’t wear them much, maybe I should think about doing that.

I do that sometimes, too. So far behind I think I’ll never get caught up. I like Instant Human, Just Add Coffee 🙂 I’ve never seen that.

I’m so like you on picking t’s because I often wear (always wear) something over it like a sweater or jacket that it often doesn’t make any sense then! I’ve been sticking to pictures and I have one with a picture of Van Gogh with his ear wrapped up and says “things are about to get weird” which I love. I’m loving your woodsy setting! Think of all the full shade locations in the summer!

Yeah, It’s amazing that with all the GAZILLION different tees out there, that it can be SO HARD to fund The Right One!

Ok that is a really cute tee! I love it. I love the sarcastic ones too or the ones that are more like “in my dreams” ha ha.
Peace!

Yeah, I see a lot that I’m not really ballsy enough to wear in public, but I wish I could!

Thanks!

This tee is perfect. I also default to “Oh” when I’m not in the mood to engage. I thought I was the only one…
I wear slogan tees around the house. I used to wear them to work, but now that I’m a director, I try to be a bit more professional. Although, I am thinking about purchasing some library related tees to wear on casual Fridays.
