Workday Wardrobe ~ March 16-20
A bit of a mixed bag this week as the school where I work was closed, but I worked in the office every day with few other people around. You can definitely see the progression of decreasing thought being given to outfits.
MONDAY
So. How about that weather?
Also, apparently I am a ballerina now.

TUESDAY aka st. patrick’s day
I had a much cuter St. Paddy’s outfit in mind, but when the time came to put clothes on, this was all I had the mental energy for. Black + green. Done.
I’m not such a fan of this cardi. But I pull it out of hiding just often enough that I keep not letting go of it. It’s just like my wine and rust ones and I do like them so it must just be the color. And I love green, and olive green, but this one always feels particularly drab to me. It looks a little better in the picture, I think, than in real life.
But at least it’s green.
- Rainbow Shops Green Fleece Duster Cardigan, 2x. Old. Comparable here and here.

As of today it’s official, NY is on “no non-essential people should be leaving their homes other than for groceries or medical reasons” status. So I’ll be working from home next week. Not sure that I’ll be dressing for work, so we’ll see how that goes.

Laughing so hard π This was “unexpected”…. still laughing!! Good grief, tears rolling. Your mind is “interesting” π
bettyewp
Interesting π So I’ve been told.
MJ
You had me laughing hard on that last one π€£ππ€£ keep posting, Bettye, we all need a good laugh! Iβve been working from home all week, and it was the most I could do to change my shirt π³ Today I am vowing to take a shower… baby steps π€ͺ

MJ! How are you doing, friend?! Gerard isn’t still going to work, is he??

Hanging in there π Courts finally closed last Tuesday… only one courthouse is open now for βessentialβ cases… thatβs going to be the word of 2020!

Good that G can start home and safe!

LOL! The drawing! The thing is, I really can picture the outfit in real life!! Great.
FYI, I’ve become really addicted to your blog
bettyewp
Ha ha, I almost wrote in the post “guess what clothing items these are,” but that seemed a little…self-aggrandizing – am I using that word right? Self-important? Like, well, of COURSE they have all memorized every item in my wardrobe! Ha. Though I do think the black gloria Vanderbilt jeans were pretty obvious π

Heh! I’ve been home since Friday the 13th, and I must say, I’ve been looking stellar in my sweats! I only dress if I’m going out. St Patrick’s Day was the exception, as I donned my emerald green sweater, black jeans, shamrock scarf, and green earrings. Then I drove my green self over to the pharmacy for refills. My green self then went to visit my 85 year old Irish friend. We stayed ten feet apart, and had a lovely chat. It was good to see her bright red head. Thursday we got locked down entirely, so it’s been sweats ever since.
Keep calm and carry on
bettyewp
Yeah, Friday the 13th FOR SURE. Oh man, I wish I’d had st patrick’s day earrings. Maybe I’ll come up with some coronavirus jewelry.
Susan
I don’t have St Patrick’s Day earrings, I have green earrings, of the chandelier type. Ahem.

You crack me up my friend. We are organizing the garage today, so that’s my outfit too!! Although I did put on lipstick…is that crazy?

No, I’ve finally gotten in the habit of putting on lipstick throughout the day instead of lip balm if my lips feel they need something. If I’m feeling fancy, I might also do a swipe of mascara. But that’s the extent of my “regular workday” makeup.
How’s the garage? I cleaned off the kitchen table. Woohoo!

I’m kinda getting in the swing of this “working from home” clothes. And yes, I am working from home. All those goodies we brought back from market have to go into the computer. Brought them home with me. We’ll see what the next few weeks hold. BTW, love the pic with Janey. π

Janey was excited to go out on the patio. I think I’ll look for a cat harness and leash for her as it looks like I’ll be spending lots of time on the patio this spring (before the mosquitoes come) (OOH, maybe the coronavirus kills mosquitoes? could we BE that lucky??). Stay home, stay safe, keep in touch.

Love the drawing, but have you grown a moustache !!. Perhaps the green cardigan is just not your green, I used to be classed as an Autumn (warm) coloured person now as I have stopped colouring my hair it has gone a steely/silver grey, my daughter who does peoples colours tells me I am now a cool person (always knew that) and need to change my clothes colours, so it could be an excuse to buy new clothes.
bettyewp
No mustache, just bad “paint” skills. I see people do these amazing intricate pictures in the paint app and…well, you see what I can manage.
Donna
Fun post, as always, and yes dressing for comfort is definitely the thing at this point!! Love the pic of you with your sweet cat!! Keep laughing and keep us laughing, Bettye!!

I’ll try SOME days to wear some experimental outfits…the kind of thing you don’t know if you’re ready to leave the house in, but you feel okay wearing it in a Zoom meeting π

OH gosh that was hilarious! Thank you! I needed it! I saw your Thursday sad face and thought “oh no” but Friday was too damn funny. Yes, we’re all there with you. I’m mixing up what is pajamas and what is “working” clothes b/c it doesn’t seem to matter when I change into or out of them. Did I tell you though my house is getting soooooo clean? Oh, and I lent three cats to my daughter who is holed up with one roommate so they will keep her entertained and smiling, like cats do. Take care my friend!
bettyewp
Cat Lending, that’s brilliant!
Stay safe and laughing!
