Happy National Bucket List Day!

Yes, it’s a real thing — April 24th is National Bucket List Day, aka the perfect excuse for daring daydreams, irresistable intentions, and maybe even finally doing that one thing you’ve been thinking about for years (you know the one)!
Bucket lists aren’t just about hugging a penguin or moving abroad (though, honestly, 10/10 would recommend). They’re about intention…choosing to make life richer, more interesting, and a little less autopilot-y. Think of your list as a note to your future self…full of goals, adventures, and moments worth remembering.
I’ve had a bucket list in my phone’s notes for YEARS, but I haven’t actually looked at it in a long time (Feb 16, 2020, to be exact). I think my whole life became a bucket list a few years back and I’ve just been doing whatever came up in the moment. But in honor of National Bucket List Day 2025, I’m revisiting and updating it. Believe it or not, I STILL have things I want to do! Some are big, some small, and a few might be slightly unhinged (but in the best way). For example:
✅ Learn to play piano
✅ Drive cross-country with Katie (almost had that one once, but covid ruined it)
✅ Visit Japan during sakura (cherry blossom season)
✅ Ride in a hot-air balloon
✅ Get a tattoo
✅ Learn to sketch/watercolor and draw/paint plein air in all the places I live
Whether your list lives on your phone, in a pretty journal, or on a faded sticky note on the fridge, dust it off today. Add something bold. Or weird. Or wonderfully YOU.
Life’s short. The list is long. Let’s get ticking. 🗒️✔️
What’s on YOUR bucket list?

I finally got a tattoo two years ago, as I wanted it for more then 30 years!

Oh wow, good for you! What did you get? Part of my problem is that I can’t decide WHAT to get! I have the thought of getting a small tattoo in every country I go to…but I;ve been in Korea for almost 2 years and can’t settle on what ONE THING stands out to me as my favorite or most iconic thing in Korea. I’ve thought of the flag (that seems a but much), the national flower (but it’s a weed shrub back in the us, ha ha), a word (but what word), it goes on and on. Japan seems much easier. Cherry blossoms. Lucky Cat. Hello Kitty. Red bridge. Korea…not so clear cut.
