Week in Review: Week 136
As exhausted as I am, I should have had a whole lot more fun this past week! Instead it was filled with work, work and more work. I even passed on a Girls Day of Fun outing Saturday just so I could get caught up on my To Do list and not feel so behind and maybe have time for fun next week. The downside for the blog is…not much week to review this week!
Plus, I just realized that it was only a 4-day work-week, due to Columbus Day on Monday and I STILL couldn’t get caught up! M
Monday I treated myself to bakery snack breakfast.
Took some pics of the location I wanted to shoot at last week.
Have been spending a little time on my Northport Every Day instagram again. I just about stopped cold turkey after losing Caleb. I pretty much missed all the pretty gardens of summer but I’m trying to start it up again in time for fall foliage and Christmas lights.
Have pulled a couple things out of the fall clothing tub…haven’t done a real switchover yet as the majority of days have been hot and humid.
Boo.
Me too.
The kids came to visit for a short time on Sunday but they just missed their mom.
You didn’t think I’d miss #NationalDessertDay, did you??
And that’s all she wrote!
Sarah
Welp, looks like I’m going to have to start following Northport Everyday now too! Hope this week is less exhausting and more fun. 😘

I hope so, too, Sarah!

I declare less work this week! More fun! I need more fun pictures to look at from you. Got it?
Fashion Schlub
I might have to disappoint you. My friends are all traveling so my “fun activity” partners are not around…and it felt so good to be productive this weekend that I probably won’t go anywhere ALONE. But I’ll see what I can do. For you.

It is a balance between fun and the pleasure of crossing something off of a list isn’t it? Ok, then how about more bakery pics?

Loving your fall outfit, Bettye! Looks very nice on you, and fits well.
Hammer throwing, indeed! With my luck the damn thing would bounce, and land in my foot.
What day was national dessert day? I missed it!
But that doesn’t mean I cannot celebrate late, does it?
Fashion Schlub
Yeah, I’m always intrigued by people’s activities that are so foreign to me – hammer throwing. I’m not exactly sure what that even is.
National Dessert Day was yesterday. Whcih reminds me I have more of that greek thing in my fridge, yay. It has a hard to remember name. And of COURSE you can celebrate late. In our hearts, EVERY DAY is dessert day.

So how’d you get a photo of the dogs that way, if you weren’t there??? And I’m a little jealous of the hot and humid. You know we just had snow yesterday??? That’ll cool you off good and fast!!
XOXO

Huh?? OH – those aren’t MY dogs! They’re my land-friend’s and live on the other side of that door. When (their) Mom is not home they’re usually content to hang out for a bit…but she was actually working on her front door yesterday so they were hanging over here…and knowing she was home and there was a DOOR between her and them…they were not too happy about that!
SNOW?? Wow. It finally cooled off some here this weekend, I think last week’s hurricane blew the humidity away…today is…65 and drippy and grey. But I LOVE snow. I guess in CO you get a LOT more snow than we do on Long Island.

We don’t always get a ton of snow like everyone thinks. There is usually a lot in the mountains, but at least this year it’s been little and far between. However, just wait….March and April are our snowiest months!!!
XOXO

Have a great start of the week Bettye!
Fashion Schlub
Thanks, Nancy – you, too!

Love the pretty olives in your fall look! Sounds like a good week overall. I feel you on the business! Some days I feel as though I am never going to get caught up. Great photo shoot location, too!

Somehow I missed Northport everyday – think I’ve pretty much had my head in the sand the last couple of weeks. Determined to see the light of day and count my blessings!!
Grace & Peace, Iris
