Week in Review: Week 190
Autumn showed up this week. Good thing cuz nothing else was going on. Katie was in Maryland til Thursday. My friends left for France on Wednesday. I just worked and came home and worked some more.
This was the view from my car as I ate lunch on Monday.
Only one camera club day this week.
Katie and I had breakfast together Saturday morning. I ate real food (with sugar).
This sweet boy was there. He was deaf.
It was just nice to be outside.
We went to a pumpkin farm. She was going to take blog photos for me but the dumb mother forgot the camera š I feel like my real hair looks like my wig here.
Sunday, we wereĀ going to go into Brooklyn for some fun but…it was pouring. Bleh. So instead Katie brought lunch and a lovely charcuterie (I’m so proud my daughter even knows what charcuterie is!) and we vegged on the sofa and watched movies.
I did not read a word this week. It gets dark early so I don’t have light for long after I get home from work, and I’ve been watching tv when I haven’t been working on the blog. I’m listening to Anna Karenina on Audible as I will be for the next month, if not more. It is LONG and it just seems like there’s so much superfluous stuff! I’m trying to remain open-minded til it’s over.
I will say that we watched The Worst Movie in the History of Movies today. Mother. With Jennifer Lawrence and Javier Bardem and Michelle Pfeiffer and Ed Harris, all people who should know better. If you have seen it, I’m so sorry. If you haven’t, save yourself. Don’t watch it.
EVER.
The Child just left and now it is quiet and feels a little lonely…and IĀ never feel lonely. So I will say goodnight and good week.
Cheryl
Your photos are beautiful, the reflection of the trees in the lake is magnificent. Your weekend with your daughter sounds lovely. Thanks for the heads up re the movie.I definitely will avoid it !
bettyewp
Oh, for sure avoid it! The reflection in the water is exactly what we were working on that day.
What’s the worst movie you’ve ever seen?
Sarah
Gorgeous fall photos. šš

Thanks, Sarah. It’s a good photo time on the Island right now.

Oh my – you do surely have gorgeous fall pictures. I love fall and fall colors. Glad you had a nice visit with the daughter – it’s always a bit sad when they leave though.

Those photos of the leaves are beautiful. It’s such a shame that movie wasn’t any good. It’s the kind of movie that would be so much fun to watch with your mom or your daughter, but not if it isn’t any good, ugh.

It wasn’t just Not Good…it was HORRIFYINGLY bad. AND horrifying. And bad. We just sat there for like ten minutes when it was over, in silence, shaking our heads. Then she started looking for online reviews to see if anyone could explain. They could not.

I can see why you feel lonely Bettye. It’s hard after such a wonderful time with Katie. You have such a fabulous relationship….what a treasure for both of you.
I know I say this ALL the time, but GIRL…your photos!!! They are incredible. Seriously. Incredible.
XOXO

I’ll get to see her once more before she leaves NY…and I know she’ll be back in the middle of December, but…sniffle.

I totally agree about Mother being one of the worst movies of all time, it just seemed to get worse as it went on.
bettyewp
Oh! The screen kept going to white In between scenes and Iād think oh thank goodness sheās going to wake up in a hospital bed or in her bedroom and is going to realize this was all a horrible dreamā¦but then the next scene opened and we were still in hell. Guh.
