Workday Wardrobe ~ Oct 28-Nov 1
It’s still in the low 60s here on Long Island, which is warm to me. So I’m trying to wear things that look fallish, while still keeping me comfortable (I overheat very easily).
monday
The forecast called for mostly sunny skies and a high of 63. We’re getting to my favorite temperature. Just cool enough that I don’t sweat as soon as I start moving! It was a camera club day at the farm and we had a LOT of rain yesterday, so I knew it was going to be very muddy. And as much as I was leaning towards wearing a dress, it just didn’t seem like a good idea. This 3+ year old top is a lightwight rayon and always fun to wear. And straight-leg black jeans and black sneakers on the bottom. Nothing earth-shattering, but the top always makes me feel a little cute and the pants were sensible for the day’s activities.
Tuesday
This lightweight Junarose dress looks like flannel, but it’s really a brushed rayon, so pretty cool. The golden cardi is also lightweight but the color says fall to me. I got a nice compliment in this outfit today. As I was walking down the hall at work to a meeting, the executive director saw me approaching and said YOU LOOK SO CUTE! You look like Patty Simcox from Grease! I had to look that up, I’ve only seen Grease once, when it first came out. But she is cute, I’ll take it!
WEDNESDAY
Another muggy, rainy day. Camera club at the farm. We couldn’t even walk all around the field due to all the mud so I’m really glad I dressed down. I’m so sweaty here cuz I forgot to take the picture, and washed the dishes, made tea, swept the floors and glued stuff onto my Halloween costume. THEN remembered to take the picture! Linen-blend top kept me comfortable walking around outside in the warm damp air. There’s also a lot of schlepping going on at work right now with wine tasting two days away and some large photo projects going on. Up and down stairs, lugging boxes to and fro.
I know my work attire is a little schizophrenic! But some days I just sit at my desk in the temperature-controlled office…some days I’m carrying boxes, prizes, signs, etc in and out, some days I’m on my knees getting pictures of small children. I dress accordingly.
THURSDAY (halloween)
Can you guess who we are??
We won the staff Halloween costume contest!
FRIDAY
FINALLY a day without rain! But after so many days of rain this week, I knew the farm would be a muddy mess for camera club, so…jeans and sneakers again. You saw this Oh! tee on the blog before, here.
Not a very glamorous week. But next week looks cooler, and there’s fewer days of camera club, so I hope to get back into some dresses! Plus, I think I can finally start wearing some real fall sweaters. Woohoo.

All your outfits are cute. I especially like the check dress with the mustard color sweater. And how fun is that to be the three amigos.

Glamorous?? Let’s just say that the Halloween costumes totally made the week fabulous!! As for the “cute” outfit, I’m sure it’s the mustard color cardigan. It’s so bright and happy!!

As soon as I saw your Halloween costume, I knew. When I was growing up, my best friend used to call us The Three Amigas {it was her, my sister, and me}. Such a fun memory.
That flannel look dress is so cute. I also like the print top – I’m digging print tops lately.
