Monday
Reunited…and it feels so gooood! She’s back! The missing green utility jacket! She was all rolled up in a long cardigan in a clothes hamper, so when I rifled through it, SHE was not be seen. But now she’s back. And just in time for this lovely weather we’re having. 50-60 is my temperature sweet spot. Not so cool that you’re cold, but cool enough that you don’t sweat from light exertion. And in the early morning and late afternoon a nice light jacket is just the thing.
This black crewneck cashmere sweater that I’ve been hunting for for TWO YEARS is a dream. Light, but cozy and soft. Cashmere is quite warm without being thick, stiff or heavy. It was a splurge, but I have no regrets. Now I would like one in dark grey and navy…but that will probably wait til next year.
And my (work-horse!) Gloria Vanderbilt Amanda jeans and black Skechers because it was a camera club day
Tuesday
Beige merino wool Tahari sharkbite pullover that I’ve had for ages, like six years, black Refuge skinny jeans and the chestnut suede Katie & Kelly loafers. Those were a really good purchase. At first I was concerned the color wasn’t rich enough, but actually, by being slightly toned down, I think they have more flexibility as to what colors they’ll go with. Plus they’re super comfortable and good for walking.
wednesday
Most of the day I left the grey cardigan off as it got a little warm and I was doing a lot of running around at work. I love this faded blue Tencel chambray blouse that I’ve had for almost five years, but I’ve only been able to wear it buttoned recently. As always, wearing white jeans all year round…with my comfy taupe Me Too loafers.
The leaves were dropping like crazy. After shooting the outfit I stood outside for like another twenty, camera in hand, trying to video falling leaves. Not so easy 🙂 We had Big Wind for the next 24 hours and now almost all the leaves are off the trees. Boo.
Short week.

Monday’s outfit choice is perfect for fall. I like that look a lot ! Looks nice yet comfy 😁 Good shoe choice, too.

Thanks, Linda 🙂 I do resort to sneakers a lot for work cuz I have so many “run-around” days. I’d rather be able to “dress” a bit more, but…what are you gonna do?

I’m glad to hear you splurged on that sweater. It’s not often that I do that either, but when it’s the right thing, it’s SO worth it.
XOXO

Yep, no regrets on that sweater! I’ll wear it a TON this winter.

I love cashmere. I had a cream cashmere sweater many moons ago and now I have no idea where it is. I’d love a black one… Hmmmm….
bettyewp
Ooh, you’d best find that cream sweater! I HATE when I lose a piece of clothing! It’s not like I’m stripping down to my wares in the middle of Main Street and leaving them there. I’m taking clothes off In My Own Home! How lost could they be?!? And yet…

Ooohhh I love that black cashmere sweater with that olive utility jacket. I need both of those pieces! And I love your Katie & Kelly loafers. The Katie & Kelly line at DSW is one of my favorite shoe brands. If it’s 60F here, I’m freezing. Winter is not my friend. I do like the change of fashion for a bit, though 😛 You have great style and your photos are awesome!

This is my first pair of Katie & Kelly shoes and I’m very happy with them. They seem almost identical to the Me Too brand, which I also like very much, and have had several shoes and ankle boots by that brand.
Yes, a black crewneck is a Very versatile item!
Thanks for your kind comments, Ruth!

Oh, I love all those outfits. I know how you feel about the “lost being found”. Forgive me – I’m SO far behind in reading blogs.
