Workday Wardrobe: March 23-27
This was my first week working from home. Took a day or two to get settled and figure out what I was supposed to be doing at this time…but I hit my stride mid-week and now I’m finding I stay much more focused on my work here than I do “at” work.
Wardrobe did not quite make it up to the same standard.
MONDAY: wORK FROM HOME DAY 1
Not much going on here, but hey, at least I got dressed!
- Style&Co/Macy*s light blue v-neck long-sleeve tee, size 3x. Old.
- Charlotte Russe black chenille cardigan, size 3x. Old.
- Catherine’s navy blue cropped leggings, size 3x. Old.
- Adidas black sneakers
TUESDAY
Having the alarm set for 7am is so much more human a time to be woken up than 6am. I actually open my eyes and get right up out of bed. And without having to commute to work, I even have time to go for a walk before starting work at 8am!
- Mossimo/Target grey sharkbite hem turtleneck, size 3x. Old.
- Catherine’s navy blue cropped leggings, size 3x. Old.
- Adidas black sneakers
WEDNESDAY
Was it? Great?
- Fashion to Figure grey graphic tee, size 3x. Old.
- Gloria Vanderbilt black Amanda jeans, size 24w short.
- Black Adidas
THURSDAY
Another walking day.
- H&M polka dot tee, size 3x. Old.
- Lucky Brand marigold linen blend hoody, size 3x. Old.
- Avenue black leggings, size 22. Old.
- Adidas black sneakers
FRIDAY
I did LOOK pretty darn cute for my big Friday outing to the bank, post office, and grocery store. It was exhilarating. BUT, I shot the outfit for a blog post for next week, and I don’t want to spoil The Big Reveal.
How’d yall manage this week? If you’re staying home are you getting dressed? In something besides leggings?
Susan
Leggings, hoodies and baggy jeans. On the days when I take a shower.
My friend said she’s lost all sense of time, and finds herself getting up and making breakfast at 3am. As do I. But I do dress anytime I go out, even if it’s just for a ride.
Thanks for the post, Bettye

I’m on a pretty good time schedule, I think. I wake up right before the alarm goes off at 7…and I’m ready to get in bed around 9:30. I’m sleeping better than I usually do (although that has been for the past couple months, which has been lovely).
I might go for a little drive this afternoon if it’s not raining, I have to drop a pre-corona return off at the PO!

You’re doing better than most!
Working from home is a huge adjustment. You got dressed. In a different outfit every day. You’re even wearing shoes.
Thanks for keeping it real!

Definitely an adjustment! But to be honest, the slippers usually stay on til I have to actually walk out the door…or take a picture 🙂

Bettye, your posts are such a breath of fresh air – it’s so nice to see something normal and positive and not apocalyptic. I especially like the “Today will be great” tee. 🙂
I’m forcing myself to get dressed every day – jeans and a tee or blouse, no makeup, but I do my usual skincare routine. I’ve just lost a few pounds, so I’m enjoying getting to wear some of the things I had to put away last spring. Appreciating the little things.

Oh yeah, getting to wear old favorite clothing that hasn’t fit for a while is SWEET.

I’m not getting dressed in anything besides leggings or sweats or pajamas. And only the softest ones I own. I’m ok with that. Those items bring me comfort and I’ll take it wherever I can find it. I am venturing out today to get groceries/fight zombies so I will be wearing jeggings and a bra which has been something I’m happily not missing wearing everyday! Stay safe from the zombies!
bettyewp
I’m mostly staying in my nightgown in the morning (unless I’ve gone for a walk before work) and getting dressed after lunch for a zoom meeting or errands or to stand out on the patio and watch for zombies coming up the hill 🙂
Be safe out there!

You do love the yellow!

I’ve been getting up at my usual 5:45 (having Bleu to tend is a major reason) because I know if I change anything I’ll have a hard time when we start going back to work. Although, I can’t lie, I’m enjoying this work from home thing. Bleu loves it too. We go on long walks before and after my day starts. It’s pretty nice.
I adore that tee. And cannot wait for the BIG REVEAL.

Oh gosh, please keep your BR expectations LOW. I was just excited to be in ACTUAL CLOTHES and OFF THE PATIO.

Sounds like you’re doing great with this transition – and it surely is that. Have to say, I’m not getting ‘very’ dressed. Something soft/loose/and comfty. Animals are loving it.

Yeah, loose and comfy. That’s why “nightgown + sweater” is the main outfit right now. I just get dressed to walk outside or have a zoom meeting.
