Week in Review: Week 220
MONDAY
Whoa. So much for my “gentle Monday” theory, ha ha. Fast-paced nonstop all day. The good news is I got a grocery delivery in under 24 hours…and I didn’t have to deal with the anxiety of going into the market in the mask. Woot woot.
AND I had the Best Photo Shoot Ever!
TUESDAY
Remember the puppy I was holding a couple weeks back in a Work from Home Wardrobe post? This is him grown-up. Hunter. He thinks he’s a horse.
WEDNESDAY
Webinars on the patio are the new spring break.
I’ve created a new taste sensation, and it is my “third breakfast” a couple days a week. It’s yogurt + jello + berries + cool whip + marmalade. That entire bowl of deliciousness right there is under 250 calories. Not that I’m watching my calories but it was so good I was thinking it must be like a thousand calories. Nope. I actually can’t take credit for the yogurt + jello part, I saw that on someone’s Instagram, but The Queen of Taking Everything One Step Further took it a couple steps further with the cool whip and the berries and the orange ginger marmalade. You just sort of fold everything in together, you don’t really blend it all. I was missing my bi-monthly or so acai bowls we used to get at work so when I saw the yogurt/jello concoction, I thought hmmm.
THURSDAY
I waited til 15 minutes past 4:00…and when I didn’t hear anything else from work I hightailed it outta here! I needed a change of scenery and to be far away from a computer screen. So I went for a little drive, got a coffee, and sat by a little beach in the next town over to read my book.
FRIDAY
Puppy Report: Katie’s puppy Skylar is as cute as ever. Too bad she took the picture through the dirty glass. They just opened some beaches in San Diego so they’ve been going to the dog beach. I feel like I’m never going to get to meet my grand-puppeh.
PS – YAY IT’S A 3-DAY WEEKEND
SATURDAY
Caturday. Cat/book pile.
SUNDAY
Sundays are nice right now. I let myself stay in bed as long as I like, reading articles on the internet, listening to podcasts, just staring at the ceiling letting thoughts float in and out. It’s times like this when I can be creative. I don’t mean creative with my hands (cuz THAT is not a thing), but creative in my mind, thinking of ideas, new things to try, etc. Once I start doing, productive, creative thinking stops.
I met my friends down at the marina again. I got sunburned again, ha ha. It was overcast when I left my house and I usually only wear sunscreen at the beach and I never get sunburned! I also maybe never sit in the sun anywhere except the beach. I’m going to try to remember to put a bottle of sunscreen in my coronavirus bag. Remember that, from the beginning of March? When I thought I was going to be overtaken by illness and taken straight to the hospital? I don’t even remember what’s in there, but it’s all still in there. OHHH – THAT’S where my super long charger is!!! I was looking for that a couple weeks ago, turned the place inside out!! Oh well, at least it’s not lost.
WHAT I’M READING
Nothing to report.
WHAT I’M WATCHING
The final season of Will & Grace. I’m sad because it took me almost two full seasons just to warm back up to it again. When the show first came back, it just all felt like it was trying too hard. Jack looked too old to be as ridiculous as he still was. Will seemed to be “acting” more gay. The cultural reference jokes just felt too forced to me. But by the end of Season 2, I was IN. And finally, Season 3 felt authentic again and I was feeling close to the characters and…and…and…NOW IT’S OVER! AGAIN! I already went through Will & Grace withdrawal once!!!
Hope Floats with Sandra Bullock and Harry Connick, Jr. Sweet movie. I do adore Harry Connick, Jr. I’ve seen it a couple times since it came out in 1998. I’m not much of a repeat movie watcher but this one I do like. Though there is the one scene (I notice now) where he starts nuzzling her and she says “I can’t”…and he slows down but keeps on going. I’m sure I didn’t think anything of that in 1998.

Susan
Love the duck! She looks like she has quite a bit to say about many things.
You really know how to capture the animals personalities on film, as opposed to me. I am content if I can get the light right, and photo centered. You DID have a great photoshoot.
After I got over my envy of your considerable video skills, I really enjoyed your closet clean out. I feel you on the kimonos, and recently purged all mine with fringe, because I never wear them. I love them, but the fringe gets caught on stuff (the cat, car doors, the mailbox, other people, my car keys), and I just can’t be bothered. I eyed the one with Angel sleeves, for the same reason, but it can be dealt with, so she stayed.
I have to say, you are far more talented when you are on lockdown. And more interesting. Thanks for this lovely post.

Adding Hope Floats to my must watch list. Thanks!

I think I’ve seen Hope Floats but I bet I’d love it again.
Your grand puppy is so adorable. One of these days we will get a dog and I’ll send you photos too!!
