MONDAY

Day started rainy, ended up sunny. But it was too late. My hair was ruined. Ha ha I’m so vain. Seriously. I would rather be gifted with naturally sleek, swingy hair than with a slim body.

I’m looking at earrings on Amazon. Here’s part of the description: “You can wear it at outdoor climbing, tremendous friend party, wedding, engagement.” Outdoor climbing AND tremendous friend party?? I’m in!

TUESDAY

Will BTS Be Nominated For A 2021 Grammy? They're Front-Runners In A Controversial Category

Okay, I just have to interrupt this blog post to say my boys just got their first Grammy nomination (yes, BTS are now “my boys”).

Did all the adulting today: ordering the vitamins, making the eye doctor appointment, canceling an online subscription, updating tax information.

I feel so proud. Of me AND BTS 🙂

WEDNESDAY

I like spicy food. It’s usually not as spicy to me as it claims to be…and I can always “out hot” any eating companion (just like I was able to out-drink my ex-husband back in the day SO PROUD). I grew up with the little packets of Nissin Ramen. It’s cheap, quick, and always brings the umami. So I was stocking up on ramen and for the first time looked to Amazon for it versus the grocery store. And I saw THIS.

Okay, a) that packaging. I can’t. It reminds me of the “do you know the para para” card. b) it says it’s really hot. Okay, Bring It.

I HAVE NEVER EATEN ANYTHING SO AGGRESSIVELY HOT IN MY LIFE. Holy Kamoley. I was tortured with every bite. But I powered through. Wow.

Wow.

Half an hour later…I am not recovered. I almost couldn’t finish it. And now I have like a whole case of it (gross exaggeration for effect), ha. Me and my good ideas! Now I’m gonna have to do a bunch of doctoring to make it less extreme for next time…which defeats the ease that is the beauty of instant ramen.

Sigh. Life goes on.

THURSDAY – THANKSGIVING

Thanksgiving was such a mood.

A friend surprised me with a “Jin from BTS blowing a kiss” Happy Thanksgiving text and I was touched. Sure beats, “are you out of your mind??” There may or may not have been an intervention reference. I am choosing to believe it was said in jest and with love 🙂

A mess was made. Fancy Breakfast was had. Much tv was watched.

It was glorious.

FRIDAY

I bought these because:

a. I love mixed flavors
b. They’re gluten-free
c. I like the packaging
d. I love any Arizona product

SATURDAY

Deli breakfast, worked on blog post…then moved to the sofa around 5 to cry watch the last six episodes of Crash Landing on You (see below). I was literally on the edge of my seat for the last four episodes (and they were like 90 minutes long each). I could not sit back. I could not BREATHE. I am emotionally exhausted and drained.

SUNDAY

Made a quick trip into the city early in the morning. Just needed a change of scenery and an energy boost.

WHAT I’M WATCHING

Crash Landing On You

Oh. My. Gawd. I BEG of you. Someone. Anyone. PLEASE watch this series. It’s on Netflix, not on a weird virus-laden Asian movie site. If you love a good love story this is a MUST WATCH…and even if you don’t, you owe it to yourself (and humanity) to witness this intensely handsome god-like hunky hunk of a man – Hyun Bin. And nono. Nono. Don’t do yourself the disservice of just Google-Imaging him. You need the full in-action HB. AND you can’t just watch the first episode and go “oh. yeah. wow. he’s handsome.” No. You need to see the full spectrum evolution of his character as the series goes on. Perfection is not something you can witness in a moment.

It is just A Great Show. Delightful characters, compelling storylines, you’ll laugh, you’ll cry. And cry. And cry. And sob. And be unable to catch your breath for sobbing. I was literally shaking for the last four episodes.

And if you doubt my taste in TV…this spring when it first aired it was one of Netflix’s Top Ten shows…not Top 10 KOREAN shows…but Top Ten, PERIOD..alongside powerhouse series like Tiger King, Stranger Things, Dead to Me, etc.

If nothing else, watch it just to see actress Son Ye Jin do The Prettiest Cry You’ve Ever Seen. We’ve all seen The Ugly Cry. It ain’t pretty. But Son Ye Jin?? Her pouty red lips just get poutier and redder, her pale skin gets even paler…and her eyes just dampen and redden beneath a curtain of thick, dark lashes. Seeing her cry is well worth the price of admission. This is the third thing I’ve watched her in and her amazing crying talent has carried across all three.

And if you watch it I’ll give you a dollar.

WHAT I’M LISTENING TO

Learn Korean with David.

Have I ever mentioned my obsessive personality??

What I’m Reading

Ooh! Ooh! I carried a book into the city with me today. I did not read it but…a slight effort was made. I’m so far behind on my GoodReads 2020 Reading Challenge. Boo. Think I can read 12 books by the end of the year?? I finished the last book I read on September 24. On September 26 I watched my first kdrama. The rest is history.

Alrighty then. I’ve got some bouncing around to do. Have a good week, cats and kittens.
