Plus Size Outfit of the Day ~ May 3, 2022
If yesterday was a 9.25 (cuz let’s not be ridiculous, you always have to leave room for improvement), today was…not. A 7? It was an anxious day. I woke up that way, it never let up. AND things happened to exacerbate it. The Things might have all been in my anxiety-skewed perception, but…Perception is Reality. So. I’m glad when this day ended.
Plus, while I like the way this outfit LOOKS, I don’t like the way it FEELS. Everything’s a little snug for my comfort.
Low-level anxiety + too snug clothing = we’re buying all the junk food at the market tonight.
All The Junk Food = Cheez-It Grooves and Sugar Frosted Flakes. And SPAGHETTI. I haven’t had pasta in the house (besides ramen) in MONTHS. Just tryna get through the week.

Ugh, I hear you on the “just a bit too tight” front…everything looks great but feels wrong. Stiff, woven-without-stretch buttoned up button-up shirts are a tough area for me because the “tailored” look comes with a “restricted” feeling, so even if it’s not technically too small, it still can feel too tight somehow and make me feel uncomfortable in my skin.

Yeah, THAT blue chambray shirt was always better suited to wearing unbuttoned OVER things. But my other one is too oversized to wear UNDER things, so I force this one into that role and I always suffer (well, SUFFER might be a strong word, but YKWIM!) for it.
