Plus Size Outfit of the Day ~ July 26, 2022
Day 2. I think Tuesday should be called Day 2. It would be easier to keep track of where we are in the week if we used numbers vs names. I’m always forgetting where we are in the week, what day it is…and there’s nothing worse than THINKING it’s Wednesday then discovering it’s actually only Tuesday. I think having the numbers in my head would help alleviate that issue.

I’m going to a wake right after work so I wore The Black Dress That Goes With Everything (AGAIN), and at work I wore the grey striped button-down over top and the black Converse, and I changed into the black cardigan and leopard flats for the service.
I guess I’m getting to the age where I should have one good funeral outfit 🙁
Dress: Asos, 22. 2015
Cardigan: Old Navy, 2x, 2017
Shoes: Aerosoles, 2020.

I think the NW summer heat wave is melting my brain. I’ve had problems keeping track of what day it is since Saturday.
And you are right, we should all have that one somber outfit. Right now I just have black leggings or jeans to work with and I’m closer to 70 now, sigh. I’ve really relaxed the wardrobe since retirement, compared to my every day is casual Friday (so says me) work wardrobe.
This week I’ve been purging my closets of things I no longer fit. Curious what selling sight you consider best for selling casual plus size clothes?
I appreciate any advice you or your readers have. Have a good day!

I personally like ebay the best. The “app” based ones like Poshmark are easier and a little faster, but I feel like the pre-set higher shipping is a deterrent to buyers AND I think ebay gets more eyeballs AND for our age group, I think they’re more likely to be on ebay vs an app selling site. But I have no actual research to back any of this up, so…I would say do whatever is easiest for YOU.

When I saw the pic (before reading), I immediately thought, “where are her tennis shoes?”!

Ha ha, as well you should, cuz WHAT IS THE WORLD COMING TO? Bettye Not in Sneakers?? Alert the press!
I did not enjoy the experience. And these are really comfortable flats. But they’re not my Converse 🙂

Betty,
Thank you for your input. Your comment of similar aged buyers is a great point. They are the ones most likely to buy what I have. Close to 20 years ago I was actively selling kitchen and dining related items on eBay and enjoyed it. But it has been a long time since then and I was feeling intimidated about the variety of options available. Thank you,
Laurie

Good luck in your selling venture!

I’m always confused as to what day it is. Friday of last week I was just sure all day that it was Saturday. Turns out – it was Saturday. Oh well.
