Plus Size Outfit of the Day ~ July 27, 2022
I’m wearing the green polka dot dress. AGAIN. I just wore this last Friday and Sunday but I didn’t show you cuz it was the weekend.
I was thinking about this dress this morning. I spent a lot on it. Probably more than I’ve ever spent on any single clothing item in my life (besides wedding dress and custom riding boots, but my parents paid for those). On sale it was almost $200. Oofah. But have I worn it a million times in the 2 years I’ve had it? YES. Do I feel good Every Time I put it on? YES. Do I regret the purchase? Not at all.
I feel fortunate that I was at a point in my financial life where I COULD splurge on something…the vast majority of my life has not been like that. So I certainly don’t take it for granted. And I REALLY appreciate it every time I wear it.
Once in a while it’s okay to go a little crazy (relatively speaking) to have something you REALLY WANT.
What have YOU gone crazy on??

Well, I don’t splurge on many things (btw, I really like that dress on you). I’m currently trying to come up with a wardrobe to go to my grandson’s wedding in Milwaukee in October, and it’s quite a challenge. I’ve almost put together the outfit I’m actually wearing at the wedding – but there’s always all that “extra stuff”. Your dress has been a great purchase. You’re comfortable and happy in it and that’s important and you’ve worn it a lot. It was a really good purchase. Hopefully I can find something that I’m comfortable in for the activities.

Yeah, the extra stuff can be the killer. Shoes, bag, scarf, jacket, etc. Ugh.
