While April was mostly pleasant – not that hot and not humid at all. May was another story.  Opening the door was t. Humidity is my least favorite weather condition. I mostly just left the house to go to doctor’s appointments. So many doctor’s appointments. Eye this and eye that. I’m so tired of it all.

The right (retina) is pretty much like it’s been since May 2025, blurry and distorted. Even after getting the oil out and the air had dissipated. I go tomorrow to get the cataract taken care of in the other eye. Hopefully at least that will go well.

We’ve been to the beach a couple times, That’s been nice.

Mostly I stay inside in the air conditioning, shopping for things I’ll need when I leave the US, napping, and reading. It’s been very nice.

In two weeks I leave for three weeks in California.

That’s really about it. Thrilling times.

A fun app I’ve been playing with – Remini. You upload a photo and it converts it into these sort of amatuerish sketches. I think they’re fun.

Katie’s birthday. She’s 16 (aka 35).

Another funny thing I’ve been doing – a lot of the clothing for sale on TikTok shop have a “Try It” feature. It’s so funny though cuz it makes you thinner, so of course the clothing looks good on you! It even styles the outfits as it sees fit. I was “trying” the brown pants. It took the initiative of putting me in a snug cropped top, ha ha. The picture on the ledt is the actual picture.

I read these in May. My three favorites were The Dutch House by Ann Patchett, The Rent Collector by Camron Wright, and The Paris Daughter by Kristen Harmel.

June should be more interesting!
