Sigh. It’s really time to start seeing what’s in the “fall/winter” tub…but first I want to take a look back at my five favorite outfits of this summer.

#5 – Starting at the bottom, is the outfit I wore on the first day of summer, the bright pink rayon embroidered top from Andree by Unit over skinny jeans. It was easy easy and I like easy.

#4 – My 4th favorite look from this past summer is the olive green Bobeau tunic with black leggings and black duster cardi. This is it’s second year and doubles as a fall outfit, so I’ve really gotten a lot of wear out of this easy outfit.

#3 – In the #3 spot is the London Times black floral wrap dress with the denim jacket. It’s a little more “dressed up” than I usually get, which made it a little special for me.

#2 – My new favorite summer jeans outfit, this Johnny Was birthday-cake-frosting-blue top over white jeans. I got it so late in the season I’ve only gotten to wear it twice, but I look forward to taking it back out next summer for a whole season of floaty blue goodness.

#1 – And, shocker (NOT), my #1 favorite outfit for the second summer in a row…the Junarose dress. It’s just too good. Easy, breezy, floaty, light. I love the colors and the print. I always feel good in it.

And what can I learn from this review? Well, 4 of the 5 looks were loose-fitting dresses/tops. Just the wrap dress was a snugger fit, and that was a rental. I know to not buy that style for dress, as while I might like the way it looks, I don’t like the way it feels and it would surely hang in my closet, untouched. It’s certainly a reminder to revisit past purchases and steer clear of the things we know our not our favorite things to wear – even if it’s a new trend or a pretty color or whatever. Usually if we look just a little harder or longer, we can find that leopard print we love so much on an item that will feel good to wear!
