Week in Review: Week 133
Whoosh! That week flew by!
Started Monday after work, going back to a garden I shot in awhile back, to get some additional shots for a blog post. This is a teaching garden at a local college and it is one of my favorite gardens on the Island.
OOTD Tuesday
Work days have been chaotically busy, getting ready for our big golf outing tomorrow (Sep 24), but I was fortunate to have Wednesday off, and I got the heck out of Dodge to really take a head break.
I just realized there are pictures from that day I haven’t edited yet. OH WELL.
It’s been cool enough all week to have the windows open instead of the air conditioner on.
I treated myself to flowers.
Yesterday I did the ALS Walk with my bestie in memory of her brother, Bill Hill. Well, I did most of the walk. ALRIGHT. I did some of the walk. I did walk. Honestly.
Today we headed back out east to a public land trust garden I’ve never been to – Bridge Garden in Bridgehampton.
And to a nice outdoor lunch (my favorite!) and walk around the town.
We found a great antique store that was merchandised SO WELL for Halloween! AND they had GREAT vintage and antique jewelry. And I bought a scarf.
And that’s it! Now I’m racing against time to get the blog and my laundry done so I can go to bed! Tomorrow (golf outing) is a LONG day and I want to get a good night’s sleep, so no chit chat from me tonight – goodnight!
Joan
Hi, Can you give the name of the antique store you mentioned?
Fashion Schlub
Hi Joan! Sure, it was…hmm, I can’t actually find the name of the shop but it belongs to Barbara Trujillo and is on Main St in Bridgehampton, NY. In looking for the address I found this video of Martha Stewart visiting Barbara’s home to look at her Christmas collection https://www.marthastewart.com/916071/tour-barbara-trujillos-christmas-collection

Here’s the correct address 2466 Montauk Hwy, Bridgehampton, NY 11932

I know I’ve said it before, but it’s worth repeating!! You have such an incredible eye for great photography. Just that yellow car, yet you didn’t get the entire thing in the frame. I’m still learning these things, but I don’t think that way!!
And the editing?? It SO time consuming…
XOXO

Thanks, Jodie. Editing, time consuming, YES.

Love the pumpkins and all the garden shots. You do have some beautiful places to wander around in.

Long Island really does have a diverse and beautiful landscape. I sound like a tour guide! My mother always said she loved LI because she had the city, mountains, beach and farmland close at hand. She never WENT to any of those places, but she knew she COULD. I’m making sure I DO.

Love the shacket, Love the photos, Love LI. I cannot believe you got that photo of the bee! I love bees.
Good luck with the Golf Outing.
Fashion Schlub
TBH, the bee was a Happy Accident! I was really trying to get one on a flower facing me and there that was when I downloaded to the computer and I loved it!
Nancy
That bee photo is so beautiful! I love bees, they are so kind…really. I hope you had a great day!

Thanks, I’m out on the golf course now photographing golfers. It’s actually a pretty day but my feet are killing me!
Sarah
Gorgeous photos which make me envious in a happy way of all your lovely activities. Great OOTD – you look really amazing! And I love that you rested yourself to flowers! I will do that this week.
Sarah

Sarah
Didn’t go. 😩 the weekend got too busy and my plans got tabled. In other Jews off for a girls’ weekend with a friend from college and our daughters inn Friday. Ocean City, NJ and really looking forward to it!
Fashion Schlub
That sounds fun – hope you have a great time!
Sarah
OMG I keep fat fingering my iPhone responses. *news not Jews! Yikes! 😳
Fashion Schlub

Mochi
Thank you for participating in the Walk to Defeat ALS!! You did great!!
Fashion Schlub
Thanks, Mochi 🙂
Barbara
You’re such a good photographer!
Like your outfit . I’m so used to see you in stripes, but the polka dots are really nice too.
Fashion Schlub
I thought the polka dots would be a nice little change from the frequent stripes. That polka dot shirt seems to me like a white shirt…with a little extra 🙂

Love that shot with the bee coming in! I know it’s already over but I hope your golf outing went splendidly and your bosses saw how integral you were to that success and are giving you a raise!

Golf is over, more or less…now there’s pictures to edit, slideshows to make, thank you letters to be sent, etc. The day went pretty smoothly and was probably the best weather we’ve ever had. But still, a LONNGG day with lots of prep-time going in…and high anxiety. But it’s over for another year. And we’re onto the next event!
