Am I the only one that feels like I can’t get caught up with life?? Every time I think I’m just about to get a handle on it, something new pops up and sets me back again. I’m trying so hard to get to a place where I won’t keep falling behind, but MAN it’s a lot of effort to get there!

They say you can’t “catch up” on sleep, but aren’t we always trying to anyway?? I definitely tried to this past weekend (which is how I got so behind on Saturday that I couldn’t go out and play with my friends on Sunday, wahhh!) and a) I felt like I still could have slept MORE and b) my body paid the price. This heavy body just can’t lay down for SO many hours, it gets so stiff and sore.

I still haven’t switched out my cold weather wardrobe for the warm weather one…and it was pretty warm this weekend! I need to get on that! So I’ve been grabbing one piece or another from that end of the closet and making new “lighter” outfits.

I got this blue and white striped pullover top last year to fill a need for “something that doesn’t need something else over it,” like a sleeveless top might. But I always felt just sort of meh when I wore it on its own.

ENTER THE LIGHT GREY CARDIGAN

I wanted a super fine knit cardigan like the cream/black/camel ones I have from Old Navy. This was on mad sale so I gave it a try. It’s not the same as those other ones, but it’s light enough for spring…maybe not so much for full-on summer, but…it was so inexpensive it didn’t warrant returning (that’s how they get you!). But, I really like it with the blue striped top! Certainly I’ll wear it over things, also, but I’m glad I don’t need to resent the striped top anymore, I can wear it happily with this grey cardi!

It’s a happy ending.

Apologies for the lack of many pictures. Since last week I showed y’all an outfit I never actually wore…I thought today I’d shoot this outfit throughout the day while I was running errands in it. Sadly, not so many great photo opps in errand-land.
