Come on, you didn’t think I WASN’T going to have one, did you?

I think summer is the perfect time to take on some new challenges…and to take advantage of warm weather opportunities. I’m trying to challenge myself a bit but not too much – I do want to have a relaxing summer!

And remember, if you write your goals down, you are exponentially more likely to actually DO them!

  1. Have a sleepover, somewhere, anywhere. Just get the heck out of Dodge for a change of scenery.
  2. Make a dress! Yep, I’m gonna do it. Breaking out the %$^^%$%@! machine and gonna try and break it’s will so it will do my bidding. We’ll see who wins.
  3. Make yummy popsicles. I say this Every Year and it never happens. I actually even know where the popsicle molds are. Anyone got a favorite summery combination? I’m not averse to boozy popsicles.
  4. Take a shopping break. There. I said it. Now I have to do it. No clothes shopping in July. Unless those Billum bags ever go on sale. Or I find the Tahari linen dress I’ve been scouring all the local TJ Maxx and Marshalls for! But that’s it!
  5. Make/do art. I think about it. I buy the supplies. I watch YouTube videos. But something always stops me from actually doing anything.
  6. Get all the boxes out of the living room. That’s not a fun one, but…I took a month off from divesting myself of extraneous stuff, now it’s time to get back to it. Do you have a home clean-up project you’ve been putting off?
  7. Shoot with film. I’ve been meaning to do this for A Long Time. What am I waiting for?? I so love the look of it! I might even just get myself a disposable film camera to make it easy for myself!
  8. Go someplace new on Long Island. It’s not that big a place, and I’ve lived here a LONG time…but there are still places I’ve never been. There probably are in your area, too!
  9. Do something nice for someone…secretly! I already have an idea for this one, I just need to DO IT.
  10. Make My Vision Great Again! (aka get new glasses) (finally).

Do you do a summer bucket list or are you just a free spirit floating along til September? Let me know!
