Workday Wardrobe Jan 27-31, 2020
MONDAY
It was going to be mid-40s today. I can’t stop wearing this red plaid shirt. I’m back to wearing my OLD Adidas sneakers cuz I hate the way the Skechers look. I’m so vain.
- Red Plaid Sanctuary Blouse, size 3x. Also in straight and petite sizes here.
- Grey Charlotte Russe cardigan, size 3x. Old.
- Old Navy High-Waisted Secret-Slim Pockets + Waistband Power Slim Straight Plus-Size Jeans, Lily wash, size 24 short
- Adidas sneakers
I wore “light” (weight) clothing today cuz I knew I would be getting on the scale at the doctor’s office. Stupid, but whatever. Then I had to push both sleeves wayyy up for them to take blood and to give me the Hep-B injection…stretching out my cuff/sleeves, ugh. Stretched-out cuffs is a pet peeve of mine (can you tell I’m still aggravated from the doctor visit?).
- Chestnut Ava&Viv/Target v-neck sweater, size 3x. No longer available.
- Navy J Crew 4-way stretch cropped pants, size 24
- Aerosole Leopard Betunia flats
WEDNESDAY
Got my baggy “need to go through the washerdryer a couple times” jeans on. That’ll shrink’em up a bit. These were #gifted to me last year from Gloria Vanderbilt but I couldn’t get them up past mid-thigh. “Maybe you’ve lost a couple pounds,” the doctor said. Guh.
- Gloria Vanderbilt Amanda jeans in “Hazelnut” (uhm, taupe), size 22 short
- Loft Navy Blue poncho turtleneck, size 2x. Available in plus in light grey lilac color, and in straight and petite in navy and cream
- Black Adidas. Old. Really old.
THURSDAY
Yup, I got a haircut. Actually, I got them all cut (#DADJOKE). I think we ended up with the length a little shorter than I wanted…and the layers not short enough. Interestingly, that is a common issue I have across all hairstylists (cutters? I’m never sure what to call them). But…I know two things: 1) my hair is growing mad fast these days…and 2) It’ll be better tomorrow, when *I* blow it out. They always smooth it so much that it just hangs straight down and looks like pageboy hair. Not a cute pageboy haircut, but an actual pageboy from medieval times.
- Grey Rachel Roy Asymmetrical Turtleneck, size 3x. I’ve had this sweater since 2016 and, incredibly, it’s still available!
- Crystal White Gloria Vanderbilt Amanda jeans, size 24 short
- Taupe Me Too Cairo Slip-on Loafers
FRIDAY
Let’s just say…I’m glad THAT ONE’S over! It was one of those weeks that felt like fall-out was raining down on all of us all week. I finally had to wear The Shirt. It didn’t help, but at least I felt like I’d done what I could.
Chalk another one up for The Leopard Cardigan. It looks good over So Many Things!
- Graphic Tee, Fashion to Figure (when they used to have stores). Size 2 (they have weird sizing).
- Sanctuary Leopard Cardigan, size 2x. Available in straight sizes also, here.
- Charlotte Russe black skinny jeans, size 24 short. Old.
- Kelly&Katie Jordi loafers in brown from DSW. Also available in black.
- Mejuri Gold Midi Hoop Earrings
And that’s a wrap! For the week and for January! See ya next month xoxo

Only you would put a photo of the actual pageboy…haha!!
And funny because my mom feels the same way when she gets her haircut. She would rather do it herself and likes it better how she fixes it. And I’m just the opposite. I always love it after my hair stylist styles my hair and I can never get it to look as good.
Speaking of losing weight, great job! And I think you can tell because all of your pants are very baggy. I think it’s time to go shopping. And in the theme of responsible shopping maybe the second hand stores? Because with all of your longer tops you could even wear leggings which have more spandex in them and might get you through a couple of sizes.

“Only you would put a photo of the actual pageboy…haha!!” Well, we’re practically twins at this point.

Congrats on the weight loss!! I agree, I NEVER like how my hair is styled by others! And, I noticed the Christmas decor is gone! HaHaha! I still have a few undecorated trees hanging out as part of my “winter” decor….! Perhaps spring is on the way? Although, here in Colorado we still can get snow thru March and April, so I guess I’ll just enjoy winter awhile longer!

Well, the stockings are down 🙂 The wreath is still on the door, the tree ornaments and lights still in a jumbled pile by the sofa…and that is all very low on my list this week.
We haven’t had much wintery weather at all this year. Virtually no snow, and DEFINITELY no SNOW DAYS. Temps most days in the 40s, no polar vortex. Is it even winter??

The medieval pageboy picture!! hahaha !!! That’s great-

Congrats on losing some weight! Baggy clothes as a result of some weight loss is an amazing feel in my book. 😊
The page boy pic is hilarious and so very true after a trip to the hairdresser! Haha I have curly hair and even I walk out the door with page boy hair. Bleh. Not a good look at my age! Haha
I hope all went well at your doctor visit?

And I see OTHER women walking out of the salon looking GREAT! Ugh.
More about my doctor visit in Tuesday’s Week in Review post. Nothing bad. Just more aggravation.

WOW, lost weight – congrats.
Love the haircut – but it seems a common thread these days that we like it better after we get home and fix it ourselves. Had mine cut this week – same thing – looked much better the next day after “I” blew it out and fixed it.

Yeah, not THAT much better this time even with me doing it myself. Ugh. Oh well. But as I know: it’s just hair. It’ll grow back.

I choked on my spit. You did not put up a picture of a page boy. LOLOLOL
