Week in Review: Week 227
Monday-Friday workworkworkwork, in the office, out of the office, long hours, all of the hours…
BUT…
THE EVENT IS LIVE NSSA’s Brighten Our Future I feel like such a weight has been lifted off my shoulders now that my part (videos and journal) are done. There will be follow-up social posts to announce the weekly raffles, but…IT’S UP! I go back to work Tuesday and I honestly feel like…what am I supposed to do there now?? Ha ha. Anyway, it’s doing really well, everyone has been very positive about it and it’s raising $$ and that’s what it’s all about!
So, I really didn’t do anything during the week, except work. I couldn’t even manage shooting outfits of the day. I canceled two dinners with friends.
I got a new mask. Linen. From Lithuania, so it took forever. I thought linen would be more breathable and cooler. But there’s so many layers it feels no cooler than any other one. But it looks nicer than the blue paper ones so this will be my “dress” mask, ha ha.
Katie and The Boyfriend moved to a new apartment, just the two of them (not the brother). It’s a little 2-bedroom with a small private backyard, 3 blocks from the beach. I don’t think she’s ever coming back to NY.
That One Time I Got to Go Outside NOT To Go to Work
Janey and Caleb.
I don’t want to ask the landlord to come down here to put in the air conditioner until I get the Christmas decorations put away.
Before
AFTER
Oh well.
My plant babies are happy. They have some new friends. I’ll take new pics once they’re potted up.
Sunday Funday
Brunch. Ish.
The only thing I want to wear when it gets this hot.
Have a Great Day
New friend
Day is done
Going into the new week with NO STRESS. It’s so, so good.
WHAT I’M READING
Best Friends by Martha Moody. I liked it. I liked Moody’s straight-forward writing. It’s about two friends, best friends, who really have absolutely nothing in common except they love one another through all of life’s ups and downs. It was one of those “this happened then that happened then that is happened then that happened,” just like…LIFE THINGS…and like 2/3 of the way in I’m wondering when something REAL is gonna happen. But. I think the life that is just happening happening happening IS the thing that happens. You know, the way life IS. 4.25/
Girl, Woman, Other by Bernardine Evaristo. This one seemed almost the opposite of the book above in that it seemed that EVERYTHING that happened was SOMETHING. Like the lives were larger than life, it was sort of a lot for me. I don’t know. It was an audiobook and it took me a LONG time to get through it as a) I just wasn’t in the car much to listen to it and b) even when I was in the car I was listening to other things as this was just not really grabbing my attention or emotion…so it took a long time to get through. But it’s gotten a lot of really great reviews, so…who knows. 3/5
I don’t think I’ve had the TV on in over 2 weeks so I’m watching Nothing.
I had some links to interesting things to share with you but it’s late and I’m tired. I’ll squeeze them into something during the week.
NY had Zero Reported Covid Deaths today, which is huge. It’s been a looonnnggg time since that has happened – beginning of March? But I think they’re going to start walking back some of our openings as other states are getting so bad now. What’s going on where everyone else is?
Goodnight, good week.

Right? Cute to see them together. She so loved snuggling into him or just laying next to him.

Ha, well, I finally got them put away. I needed to just for my own piece of mind. I kept thinking I might be furloughed from work during all this time and I had a list of things to do (of course I did). Putting Christmas away was one of those things.

Love how you said it linen from Lithuania. I like how you worded it.
I think I’ve gotten so used to see high numbers for cases and deaths that lately as they’ve reduced (a bit), I find myself surprised.
Love how your flowers match your dress. Great picture positioning.

Ha ha, I always think it’s entertaining that so many of the linen shops on Etsy are in Lithuania and Latvia! Is that where linen comes from?? I don’t know.
