Next to “fat ladies shouldn’t wear horizontal stripes,” I think “don’t wear white after Labor Day” is my favorite fashion rule to break.

And I know I’ve said here before that I think I actually prefer white jeans in fall and winter because of the contrast between them and the rich, spicy colors we wear this time of year.

Here are three looks for fall, based around white jeans.

Starting with a simple chunky turtleneck, I added in my leopard loafers and a cognac cross body. I LOVE camel and white together!

Here I went for a more layered look, with a black crewneck, black Aerosoles loafers, and a camel sweater blazer. Black and white, always classic.

These black flats are the same shoes as the leopard ones (above). In the end, I returned last month’s “pretty” flats because they just didn’t fit well enough, even just walking around the apartment. They were comfortable, but the back of the shoe slipped off my heel with every step. I know the leopard loafers were super comfortable, even for long city walks, so I opted for the less pretty and not-on-sale comfortable shoe, and I do not regret it.

And lastly, this holiday-inspired look, with a brighter red plaid blouse and green utility jacket. I think this would be a fun, casual Thanksgiving or Christmas outfit.

Forgive the weird shot, I forgot to photograph this outfit while I was filming and had to grab a still from the video.

I did a StyleSession on IGTV on today with the “Wear it Wednesday” ladies, so I figured I’d share it with you here, too. Do you many of you use Instagram?
