Plus Size Outfit of the Day ~ Sep 18-24
And we’re back! The temps are decreasing JUST enough to start layering on some light sweaters HALLELUJAH and I’m starting to pull a couple things from THAT side of the closet.
SATURDAY
Oops.
SUNDAY
We’re heading into the city for a leisurely walk in Central Park and some brunch. The button-down will come off quickly but might be nice if we sit in the shade at the restaurant.
This is one of my favorite color combos: chartreusey green and blue. It’s that stormy sky against the newly-emerging maple buds thing.
Green Tee Shirt: Old Navy, 3x. 2021
Chambray Button-down: Dia & Co, 3x. 2021
Jeans: Gloria Vanderbilt Amanda, 20 short. 2021
Sneakers: Navy Converse Shoreline slip-ons, 2021
MONDAY
Ooh! An actual cardigan! Shaker knit! Not super thin and lightweight! Wow.
Pretty basic outfit. Jeans + white button-down + cardigan. Three seasons of the year I wear this formula at least once a week.
White Button-down: Loft, 3x. 2020
Mauve Cardigan: Old Navy, 2x. 2021
Jeans: Gloria Vanderbilt Amanda, 20 short. 2021
Sneakers: White Converse Shoreline slip-ons, 2021
TUESDAY
Happy First Day of Fall, friends!
It’s just BARELY Sweater Weather, but I’m going for it anyway.
This is this year’s new favorite color combo. Also, two new favorite colors: lilac and green. Just regular green. Not chartreuse or olive or any variation of green, just like Straight green. And I love these two together!
I feel these two items together come off a little “grandma chic,” but that’s okay. It’s okay in the fall. I can do Fall Grandma.
Dress: Osei-Duro, 3x. 2020
Cardigan: BP/Nordstrom, 3x. 2021. Comparable.
Sneakers: Keds Champions, 2021
WEDNESDAY
Thank goodness I chose the easy outfit to wear today…cuz the day was not easy.
Plus, it’s super muggy again so ALL LINEN ALL THE TIME.
White Button-down: J Jill via QVC, 4x. 2019
Linen Pants: Old Navy, 2021. Comparable.
Sneakers: Navy Converse Shoreline slip-ons, 2021
THURSDAY
This is the sister to Tuesday’s Osei-Duro dress. Equally fun to wear, just a tad smaller. This is a 2x, the green one is a 3x. Still very swishy.
Swishy is good.
This little cardigan has been missing since two moves ago. Welcome back, lil lacy cardi.
Dress: Osei-Duro, 2x. 2021
Cardigan: Avenue, 2x. 2016

FRIDAY
Dressed for a night-time work event at an amusement park where I’ll be taking pictures. It’s supposed to be chilly so…hoodie.
IT’S HOODIE WEATHER OH HAPPY JOY JOY

Sunday’s blue + green + white is my favorite. Tuesday’s green + lilac is surprisingly great.

Yeah, really like the green+lilac combo. I wish this sweater was a LITTLE less vibrant, but I’d been lookinglookinglooking and just couldn’t find anything I liked in the right price/size, so.
And that chartreuse+blue is a longtime favorite…
Unfortunately, color combinations is what drives most of my new clothing purchases. I fall in love and HTHTCC!!!

Speaking of chartreuse and blue…did you see my purse post?? I thought of you when I put that outfit together.
XOXO

Oh, I love the mauve cardigan. But then, I do love cardigans, especially the longer ones. Looks great on you too.

Thank you for openly talking about Quality of Time Left. And your Age 61 Bucket List post recently, too. I’m also coming up on 61. I dont want to be macabre, but i wish more people would frankly talk about their feelings on aging and the reality of our limited time on Earth. Thank you!!
bettyewp
Yeah I always wish everyone would talk more about EVERYTHING. We ALL go through so many common experiences…really, probably 99.9% of our experiences in life are common to everyone. It always seems helpful or comforting to hear from others who are going through the same thing as you.
I don’t think it needs to be thought of as macabre to think and talk about aging, or even death. My real-life friends know I am a BIG one to talk about death. It’s GONNA happen. to 100% of us. It shouldn’t be an uncomfortable topic.
So, you’re welcome…and I hope others are encouraged to do the same 🙂
