Plus Size Outfit of the Day ~ April 6, 2022
Well, THIS is not nearly as entertaining an outfit as it was in my mind’s eye. Maybe if the plaid shirt didn’t have the white lines in it? Why do I struggle so with “white in shirts”? Ha. Cuz I LOVE “a white shirt.”
PLUS, this long-time reliable favorite merino wool top HAS A HOLE IN IT!! Guh. I’ve had it seven years, it owes me NOTHING. But. Sigh.
I can hear Jodi screaming REPAIR THE HOLE! REPAIR IT!!! Ha. I don’t know. It’s in a pretty prominent spot, just barely covered today by the plaid shirt. I don’t know if a repair can be done THAT neatly so as to not show. It’s not so bad right now cuz my bra is right underneath it and my bra is very close in color to the sweater. But. Its days are numbered.
I wore this red plaid shirt under the (yesterday’s) taupe cashmere v-neck a few weeks ago and liked that combo, but…only a little bit of the red plaid was showing then.
Oh well, you win some, you lose some.
OH – I DID like it when I had my jacket on over it. Again, then there was only a little red plaid showing…and I really like the army green with the red. And the taupey beige.
I REALLY need to get an actual raincoat before Korea. This jacket has a hood but is not waterproof. At all. It’s just lightweight Tencel.

I think these “colors that resemble your skin” items can be tough to wear, especially without a layer underneath or a necklace/scarf/something to demarcate clothing from skin more clearly. I have to be careful with blush pink 🙂

I love that picture of the dog in the background!!

Ohhhh…it’s hard to repair a hole like that and expect not to notice it. That’s really the kind of repair where you need to make it obvious and repeat it a couple of times so it looks intentional. Which is not your kind of party, I realize!!
