Plus Size Outfit of the Day ~ June 30, 2022
So, Day Second to Last Before Vacation (awkward sentence, much?). I think I’m gonna make it.
Plans for vacation, you ask? NO! Blissfully, NO. NO catching up on schoolwork, no 3-day weekend spent doing three scary assignments…just staying up late, sleeping late, maybe some beach, lots of reading. Getting my new “I’m not taking on anything new over the summer” schedule sorted out of the new things I’m taking on. There’s a Korean journaling class, a 6-week workshop on a really powerful language learning app that I’ve only been able to use like 1% of cuz…and there’s 3 more weeks of the class I’ve been taking for the past 6 weeks.
The problem is (and what a good problem to have!) that Bangtan Academy is SO GOOD – there are SO many different kinds of offerings, I just can’t pass up something new and interesting. I just have to hope nothing ELSE comes out this summer.
I finally forced myself to wear the so-dark-grey-it-kinda-reads-as-black button-down even though I really prefer the blue chambray (shocker) over the mustard tee. But I’m trying to not wear that EVERY single day of my life.
Mustard Tee: Old Navy, 3x. 2020
Button-down: Torrid, 3x. 2020
Jeans: Gloria Vanderbilt Amanda, 20short. 2021
Sneakers: Converse Shoreline slip-ons. 2021. I came THIS CLOSE to ordering a pair of custom Converse in a mango yellow color. They’re still in my cart. I’m only considering them cuz July is an extra paycheck month so there’s a little extra $$

So I’m always surprised that you like converse sneakers so much. I always think they don’t have any arch support, but then again, maybe you don’t need arch support?? Or do you add something in them?

I know we have this back and forth all the time, ha ha, but I’ll ask again, have you tried the Shoreline slip-ons? They are DIFFERENT than the regular flat-soled Chucks. I don’t add anything to them, and granted my heels are Much Improved after The Year of No Walking (aka 2020/quarantine), but I still wouldn’t wear something with no support cuz I don’t want that pain to come back. And while the Shorelines technically have no arch support, the soles are just sort of “shaped” ? I don’t know how to describe it exactly…but I find them Very Comfortable. They’re also very soft, it’s like wearing a good slipper, like a Vionic slipper…vs the concrete slab soles of the regular Chucks.
When I wear my Keds Champions I ALWAYS put in an arch insole (Vionic) and with the CS I have just never felt that need.
