Ahh, a swishy dress and sleekish hair, whatta time to be alive!

After almost a year without, I FINALLY splurged and replaced my old curling iron that threatened to burn the house down every time I plugged it in (so, yes, I stopped using it. as is evidenced by The Year of Fluffy Hair). It was all of $12, ha ha.

After much soul searching I have come up with a name for my look: “Anything I Can Wear With Sneakers.” Bam. “Dressing Like a Boy” goes out the window in the summer when I wear dresses whenever I can. I wish “Anything I Can Wear with Sneakers” had a clever acronym but AICWWS – Achewuss? Not so cute ha ha.

Hey look, all my paragraphs (til this one) started with the letter A. That’s better than “I.” I’m still working on such simple sentences in Korean, almost every sentence starts with I. I like the spider. I am going to the laundromat. I sang that song. I’m not yet at the point where I can have actual CONVERSATION beyond hello nice to meet you my name is bettye what is your name do you like the blue pen I also like the blue pen. I know lots of vocabulary (“lots” being a relative term – lots by “never knew any Korean” standards, not by actual native Korean speaker standards) but putting it all together in a sentence is still a sloooooow process. But I’m better now than I was even a few months ago, so…

Someday the baby steps will turn into an actual dialogue with another human.
