There was no work Monday for Martin Luther King Day…and Tuesday I was so excited that I didn’t have to hurry home to take an outfit picture for #jan20x20 that I completely forgot I still need a picture for Workday Wardrobe! So I’m starting with Wednesday.

WEDNESDAY

I’m FREE! I’m FREE! No more wardrobe challenge (at least not today)! So I wore two items not in the 20-day capsule. It was an expected high today of 35 degrees. So I wanted cozy but didn’t need arctic-appropriate.

  • Navy Loft Turtleneck, size 2x. No longer available in navy, but they still have it in a greyish cream with tiny blue flecks (sort of the negative version of this one)
  • White Gloria Vanderbilt Amanda jeans, size 24W short
  • Taupe Me Too Cairo slip-on loafers, they also come in black
  • Black Old Navy coat, size 3x

THURSDAY

I admit. This was a lazy outfit day. I didn’t plan ahead and I overslept in the morning. I’d hit snooze too many times, then I was dreaming that I was spraying dry shampoo into my hair and then, in my dream, I was like OH! I think I’m DREAMING this! And that woke me up, ha ha. Anyway, then I just grabbed – clean, not too hot, sneakers, go!

  • Tahari Cobalt Blue Merino Wool Pullover, old.
  • Black Old Navy fine knit cardigan, old.
  • Mid-wash Gloria Vanderbilt Amanda jeans, size 24 short
  • Black Skechers sneakers

FRIDAY

fashion schlub plus size winter wardrobe

Today’s outfit was about BREAKING FREE from the dark. Dark days, dark winter clothes. I just needed something a little lighter and gentler. And I was rewarded with a 57-degree day! I don’t believe in manifesting to make things happen, but…WAY TO MANIFEST!!!

A short week…but probably appreciated after yesterday’s monologue!
