Well, I KINDA managed to wear a summer item every day, as challenged…

MONDAY

Tuesday was the first workday as Monday was the holiday…and it was cold and rainy and I just wanted to feel cozy when I went to the office. Like a cozy tree (?) ha ha. I’m not sure what’s happening here. It’s reflective of my mood these days.

Cardigan: Old Navy Cozy Open-Front Long-Line Plus-Size Sweater, in Into the Woods (aka brown), 2x. It’s dreamy. It’s just soft enough, just thick enough, just stretchy enough. It’s got pockets and a side slit.
Tee shirt: Olive green tee from The Online Shop That Shall Remain Nameless. Ugh. <- summer item
Jeans: Gloria Vanderbilt Amanda Jeans in Scottsdale wash, size 22w short
Sneakers: Antique Adidas. Why oh why can’t I find this same sneaker again? Besides the fact that it was THE Most Comfortable Shoe EVER is that it didn’t really have a tongue. It was like a “fixed” tongue, for lack of a better term. So there’s none of that “tongue slipping back into the shoe when you slip your foot in so you have to contort your body to reach it and pull it out.” Plus, it came to a normal height on the foot/front of the ankle…not like sneakers now that come like 3″ up my shin! I don’t want that!

TUESDAY

One of my prouder moments. Look at that kick! I’m quite impressed with myself.

Happily wearing my current default uniform.

Shirt: J. Jill Linen Easy Shirt, 4x. This was its second summer and it’s just getting better and better. <- summer item
Jeans: Gloria Vanderbilt Amanda jeans, Calisto wash, size 22x short, self-cropped
Sneakers: Keds Champions, canvas

THURSDAY

What Is Happening?? Who knows who cares it feels good. This is the go-to dress for when I want to spin, twirl, or toss it into the air.

Dress: Osei Duro Layer Dress Moonlight, in Bullfrog, size 3x <- summer item
Cardigan: Old Navy Rib-Knit V-Neck Plus-Size Cardigan Sweater in Cinnamon, 2x
Sneakers: Keds Champions, canvas

FRIDAY

I was grateful for a work from home day as it was rainy and cool all day and I just got to stay indoors in my nightgown and a sweater.

But if I was going to go out, how nice would it be to have an actual raincoat?? Something I never have because I can’t decide on The One. A simple trench? An anorak with a hood? A rain slicker? It’s one of those cases of only wanting to invest in ONE so it needs to suit all needs: long enough to go over a dress but casual enough to look right over jeans. Not hot, but warm in the winter. Color? There’s too many choices.

Alright, cats and kittens, that’s it for this week. I’m so glad it’s FRIDAY NIGHT. I’m giving myself the evening off cuz this week whooped my butt. Can you believe there are only 76 days left til 2021?? Whoosh!
