Plus Size Outfit of the Day ~ January 27, 2022
14 degrees this morning when I left the house this morning, so something up on my neck was vital.
I like those muted tones together: the heathery taupey-beige of the merino pullover and the soft chambray blue of the buttondown. When I was in my early 20s I had the palest of pale pink super thin stretchy turtleneck that I loved SO MUCH.
I especially liked wearing it WHEN I WENT RUNNING. Yes, you read that right. At one point I was running three miles a day. ME. This girl and these stubby legs.
Back then, I wore the pink turtle under a white polo with the collar popped up, under an old, thin, faded, oversized navy sweatshirt. This combo was a DREAM. It was my winter running and barn-work ensemble.
ANYWAY, I feel like the soft pink would have been yummy under these shirts (instead of the SUPER WHITE turtleneck I’m actually wearing).
Memreeeeeez.
Jeans, sneakers. Forevvvvvvver.
In my next life I hope to have other shoes that AREN’T sneakers. Just one. Or two.

Have you tried Skecher slip on shoes? They are so light and comfortable and great for bad knees or lower back issues. They have so many styles and colors and can really level up an outfit. I think you would like them alot!

You know, the last sneakers I had just prior to starting with Converse was a pair of sketchers slip on‘s. At first they seemed really great because they were so cushiony, but then the cushion was too much, sir of like walking on a tall marshmallow and they weren’t as supportive as I like. I would try a different style if I saw something I liked. And I know this is weird, but I don’t like the feel of a SUPER light sneaker. I don’t want the HEAVIEST shoe, but a really light sneaker always feels a little off to me.

I get the marshmallow thing lol! There are so many styles though and not all of them are squishy. It’s worth a shot!

Ha ha, glad you got the marshmallow thing…it’s such an odd feeling, I wasn’t sure if anyone else had experienced it.
I’ll definitely take a look at Skechers when it comes time to get new shoes!
