Plus Size Outfit of the Day ~ February 28, 2022
Got a bit of a Canadian Tuxedo situation going on here with the Tencel chambray button-down and the mid-wash jeans. I broke it up a bit with a low-contrast “breaker” – the taupe cardigan.
I do love a good taupe + chambray combo.
Was chilly today so I had the long-sleeved (long-SLEEVE or long-SLEEVED?) white tee on underneath. I keep meaning to buy another one of these while they still have them in stock cuz it’s been So Good for layering (and I am REALLY fussy about Things to Wear Under Things) and eventually the white will “dinge” and I’ll be unhappy if I can’t find something comparable. So I MEAN to…I get to the Old Navy page…and I go…but Korea fund…and I quietly back out. But I DO need things!
Like my black and navy Converse are really showing their age. I’ve had the black ones since 2020 and the navy ones since early 2021…and they both get a LOT of wear – ALMOST every single day. I think the soles are about to wear through in spots on the black ones. But I don’t want to spend $100ish on two pairs of shoes I already have, so I just keep putting it off.
This is what I was wearing on this day in 2021 and 2020. The hair changes…but the clothes remain the same ๐

I love that camel hair coat from 2020. Looking at the date . . .that was not long before the world shut down.

Right? Iโd been out to dinner that evening with friends. In a restaurant. Without a mask. With people around. Thatโs why I looked so rough, haha. It was late at night when I got home and took the picture.

I WOULD have expensive, well-made shoes resoled if I love loved them…and not that I don’t love love these, but even aside from the soles, they’re just looking ratty. I’ve tried cleaning the white rubber trim and that goes just so far…and even the insoles are squished down. By the time I revamped everything, I could probably have two new pairs of sneakers.
But it’s a good environmentally sound suggestion ๐
