Plus Size Outfit of the Day ~ March 17, 2022
Happy St Patrick’s Day!
I know I am part Irish, at least I think I am! Ha. But a small part, like way way back. But on St. Patrick’s Day isn’t EVERYONE Irish??
So, I got the wearing’o’the green. I really wanted to wear my swooshy green and white polka dot dress but it seems a tad chilly still for bare legs.
Olive green will have to do. In my favorite olive green color combo with the faded chambray blue.
And the jade green ring. I forgot to tell you guys about that in the week in review post from California. My aunt gave me this ring that had been my mother’s (shh, she has one for my sister, too…but don’t say anything).
My mother had a LOT of jewelry. A Lot. When she died, we all (sister, cousins) went through it and took what we wanted and the rest was sold (or stolen!) at the estate sale. I didn’t take much; her 60-something style was not so appealing to a 30-something. Now, of course, I wish I had more. But so I was very grateful for this gift.
I’m trying to decide if I want to resize it to fit my ring finger or just live with it as a pinky ring. It’s maybe a little chunky for a pinky ring but…so what, ha ha.
Sweater: Treasure & Bond/Nordstrom, 3x. 2020. Olive is sold out but it comes in chestnutty-rust color that I should probably have. They do have the olive in a different cut.
Button-down: Charlotte Russe, 3x. 2015
Jeans: Gloria Vanderbilt Amanda, 22 short. 2019
Sneakers: Converse Shoreline slip-ons, 2021

I would re-size it for your ring finger.

Alrighty! I think I have a jewelry store credit back from mannnny years ago when Russell gave me a necklace I really did not like, so I returned it for store credit. Hope the store’s still there!

I love the ring and the sentimental aspect of it. Heck, you could always wear it as a pendant on a necklace too…if you have any necklaces??
XOXO

My favorite is sentimental jewelry. Gifts, inheritances, even items that belonged to someone I didn’t know. As long as it has a story. More than “I bought this at Macy*s (or wherever).”
I’ll probably get it resized to fit my ring finger.
