And we’re back.

How was everyone’s long holiday weekend?

I should not assume everyone had a long weekend. I hope you’ve been well since we were last together – how’s that??

I had a little…meltdown over the weekend. I took a little break from All The Things. Sounds good, right?? Nope. My brain withoutamillionthingsinit is like that horizontal surface you just cleared off. You know what happens to that lovely clear surface PRETTY PRETTY PRETTY QUICKLY, right?? People start PUTTING STUFF ON IT.

My brain withoutamillionthingsinit has room for THOUGHTS. And thoughts are a slippery slope for me. I start replaying conversations and stuffthathappened over and over again…usually OUT-LOUD…not just in my head (pro and con of living alone…you start to talk out-loud to yourself ALL THE TIME). And I can make myself upset ALL BY MYSELF….and suddenly I’m thinking and crying about things that happened four YEARS ago…right up to the present.

Yep, busy is better. Or…maybe OCCUPIED is a better word. Keeping my mind OCCUPIED is better for my mental health.

Oh. My friends (you know, BTS?) were at the WHITE HOUSE today to speak with President Biden about Asian inclusion and representation and address anti-Asian hate crimes and disinformation. As always, they were well-spoken and respectful and charming. After they each said a few words at the press briefing, they joined President Biden in the oval office for further discussion.

I’m looking forward to reading what went on behind closed doors! The press guy that got up after them to speak was like…oh crap, tough act to follow. He said, “at least I get to go home tonight and tell my kids that BTS opened for me,” ha ha.

This is one of those super rare times that I wish I had ACTUAL tv cuz I bet it’s gonna be on all the evening news shows tonight.
