IT. WAS. A. DAY. Well, a morning. But…thank goodness I wore something easy breezy!

The Invisible Black Dress still earnings its keep. The chartruese-that-looks-yellow-on-camera button-down here for Year Two. Sneakers (shocker).

Speaking of Bettye Who Only Wears Sneakers These Days, I HAVE been looking for a very specific mythical creature called Fabric Fisherman’s Sandals. They normally come in leather, but for summer I’m thinking some sort of cotton or canvas would be so breathable. And Fisherman’s Sandals because it’s an openish show that has a toe that’s closed enough I think it will pass muster with work’s dress code, and has a back ankle strap for the same. No open toes or open heels anymore at work. Which makes summer hard. And hot! And then, there are some FS that have a slightly dressier vibe, not like FORMAL dressy, but like visually/stylistically they’re more suited to a dress or wide-legged trouser (ESPECIALLY the latter), but I want them to wear with jeans or cropped pants. So I want a pair that is a little lower on the dressy scale. And they have to be as COMFORTABLE as a sneaker, or I will wear them exactly once…and then they will languish in the back of my closet.

HOWEVER, this is apparently something that only exists in my mind (and in some sort of weird satiny ? fabric at H&M) and I am, once again, searching for a specific thing that doesn’t actually exist.

GOOD TIMES.

If anyone sees anything like this, give me a shout (or send a link, that would probably be more effective), please and thank you. Of course, because I am a PITA, there are other specifications, but “cotton/canvas fisherman sandal” is a start.

This is what I’m talking about (but I am not paying $990 for a pair of sandals).

What is your Holy Grail this year?
