How’s that for an intriguing title?? Usually I sit down to write a blog post and blahblahblah just pours out of me. I photographed this outfit over a week ago and I have YET to think of any topic that goes with it, so. We all have our days.

If you follow me, this is the Tencel dress I ordered from H&M over a month ago, but it didn’t get shipped for some reason. It wasn’t out of stock, they just refunded my money and didn’t send it. We all have our days.

So, I tried ordering it again because it just seems SUCH a useful dress. Like jeans. Simple, easy to wear, goes with like every cardigan in my closet. I can wear it belted or not. I can wear it with boots or shoes, bare legs when it’s warm enough, tights when the temperatures drop. And it’s that lovely Tencel (Lyocell) fabric that is a) wonderfully drapey, b) easy to care for and c) one of the most environmentally friendly fabrics (it’s regenerated from wood cellulose).

It’s a classic shirtdress style that really never goes out of favor. I like to buy items that I can still be wearing in five years or more and they won’t look dated. I tend to stay away from trendy details or prints for this reason.

The leopard cardigan is a treasured purchase from last winter. You might have seen it here with a denim buttondown or here over a black and white striped tee. It has proven to be extremely versatile.

But I especially love this combo – with the “bright” faded denim look dress and dark leopard print.

Well, I guess even when I have nothing to say, I can blahblahblah!

Guess who took the pictures? ME! For a change! Ha. Sorry about the endless pictures on the patio. Maybe while Katie’s here this weekend I can bribe ask her to shoot some outfits for me somewhere else. ANYWHERE but on the patio!
