It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like…
On Thanksgiving, the child and I went into the city for a visit to the Byrant Park Winter Village, a charming, bustling pop-up shopping/dining area that happens every year at this time. Delightful shops and eateries, good people watching (a favorite activity of mine!), and I thought a good spot for a photo shoot! It was certainly scenic, but so many people milling about made photos Very Challenging. I’m giving us an E for Effort.
Let’s just look at the pictures, shall we??
What I’m Wearing
- My beloved ASOS sleeveless black swing dress, size 22
- Johnny Was velvet kimono via Gwynnie Bee, size 3x
- Avenue Myla oxford bootie, I love the way the front is “tongued” (for lack of a better word) so the front is sort of open and doesn’t cut into the fat on the front of my shins!

Bettye! I love it when you wear your hair down! You look so good. You did a great job with that Johnny Was jacket. I couldn’t make it work for me.
Fashion Schlub
I loved that jacket! Most things I wear once and quickly return to get something else, but I held onto that for awhile.
Yeah, hair. It’s such a bother, ha. I watch these YouTube gals that do SO MUCH with their hair (and makeup!) Every Damn Day and I just can’t. The extra 15 minutes in bed in the morning always wins out over Making Hair Look Good. I may clean up alright but I think I will always be a schlub at heart 🙂
