MONDAY

Monday. A normal Monday. At work. Not like Africa hot outside. Normal.

A normal dress for a normal day.

TUESDAY

Ha ha. I feel like every day starts with “uhm” right now. Uhm, WHY did I wear this today? Well, for one thing, PANTS! Finally. And I do love these mustard linen pants, all drapey and slouchy and rich-colored. They make me feel a little pre-fall-esque.

I tried like 3 other “top” combinations with these pants. And while there are many things in my closet that *go* with this wonderful color, I was comparing each option with the white linen blouse combo and…slouchy white linen + slouchy mustard linen won every time. Once I have a BEST COMBINATION, I’m unmotivated to wear anything else…why would I wear SECOND best…or third or fourth…when I can wear THE BEST? Ha.

I’m a freak.

WEDNESDAY

So much denim today. The weather forecast made denim seem bearable and my poor dresses are like…done. Ha.

This is the Blue Chambray Shirt 2.0. More or less. It’s NOT the same as the Charlotte Russe one, or as nice…but it’s the closest I’ve been able to find and the 5-year-old one is looking pretty dingey – not that you won’t see me wear it anymore, but I’ll start phasing this one in. It’s also Tencel, so that nice, soft, drapey fabric. It’s the color I’m not head over heels with…AND the tabs on the sleeves. Not a fan. If I was not so lazy…and a more careful person, I would just remove them.

I think the last time I wore this striped tee was on the 4th of July. It’s funny how my seasonal clothing use seems…I don’t know. But like I don’t get much use out of my short sleeve shirts in the summer…cuz I don’t like having bare forearms. It’s not a fat arm thing, it’s just a THING. It’s partly an ac at work thing.

THURSDAY

For four years I’ve been calling this The Junarose Dress…and I think everyone knew what dress I was referring to when I called it that.

HOWEVER.

Going forward, it will always be known to me as The Dress I Peed in the Street in Queens In (grammar be damned).

All will become clear in Monday’s Week in Review.

How’s that for a cliff-hanger??

The Green Easy Access Dress.

As opposed to yesterday’s pastelly print easy access dress, aka the Pee in the Street dress.

I know the Osei-Duro dresses are $$$, I’ve had people over the past year email me to say they love the dress but were shocked at the price when they went to the website.
