After a very low-key weekend I think I’m feeling “normal” again. Relatively speaking.

MONDAY

Look at me, looking like someone that works in an office! Ha. I can clean up once in a while šŸ™‚

I love this color blue paired with black. I call it French Blue but I have no idea where that came from. It’s like “blue collar” blue.

Blue Button-down: Loft, 3x. 2019
Black Cardigan: Old Navy, 2x. 2017
Jeans: Gloria Vanderbilt, 22 short. 2015
Flats: Aerosoles Betunia, 2020

Ooh. There’s some truth to the rumor of French Blue…

TUESDAY

Oh how I wish I had a pair of cream or grey jeans…and brown shoes. I LIKE the brown cardigan with the medium wash denim, but…I wish I had a pair of “not blue” pants to wear with this shirt and cardigan.

I’ve also been thinking about a pair of “non-sneaker” shoes…some sort of brown leather shoe. So I look and look and look but don’t want to pull the trigger on spending the money on that right now. Something like….

Plaid Button-down: Treasure & Bond/Nordstrom, 3x. 2021
Cardigan: Old Navy, 2x. 2020
Jeans: Gloria Vanderbilt Amanda, 20 short. 2021
Sneakers: Converse Shoreline Slip-ons. 2021

WEDNESDAY

I like this outfit a lot in theory. The fit and length of the red button-down brings it down a couple notches for me.

This shirt was always a LITTLE snug around the tummy, which is why IĀ usually wear it unbuttoned over something else. But I threw caution to the wind today and just went for it. It’s also just a smidge long for this cardigan…which is like the perfect length for my body proportions, but most of my shirts are not. They’re mostly too long. And while I like “things peeking out from under things” in many cases, I do not care for it here.

What I DO like about this outfit is the little triangle of white showing at the neckline of the tee underneath…and the white sneakers with the black jeans…connecting to the white tee triangle up-top. It’s a little sandwich of black and red between the white cookies, if you will.

Red Plaid Button-down: Sanctuary, 3x. 2019
White Tee: Old Navy, 3x. 2021
Grey Cardigan: Dean & White Woman, 2x. 2009ish.
Jeans: Gloria Vanderbilt Amanda, 20 short. 2021
Sneakers: Converse Shoreline Slip-ons. 2021

THURSDAY

Basic formula: jeans, button-down, cardigan. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Even MORE basic: WHITE button-down and jeans. Put like ANY cardigan over that base and you’re good.

White Button-down: Loft, 3x. 2019.
Mauve Cardigan: Old Navy, XXL, 2021
Jeans: Gloria Vanderbilt Amanda, 20 short. 2021
Sneakers: Converse Shoreline Slip-ons. 2021

FRIDAY

I was just too tired. I’m realizing it’s not that I have less TIME these days…I have less time that I still have energy to accomplish anything. Back in my ebay hey-day…I worked 8-4 at The Job, then came home, parented child and animals, ate dinner, then worked on ebay til like 1am most nights. Easily.Ā  I was doing another 40 hours a week on ebay on top of my 40hr/week job. And I really never gave it a thought. Now I’m like…I get home from work and I’m Just So Done. I eke out a 2-minute TikTok and an OOTD photo…and if I can keep going for another hour or two before giving in and carrying dinner down to the sofa where I’ll watch one show and then go to bed…that’s a productive evening. And every couple weeks I give myself a crash day: no pictures, no tiktok, no studying, I just put on my nightgown as soon as I get home from work and go directly to The Sofa. I wish that could be EVERY day. But I wish other things, too. I wish I could sell more things on ebay. I wish I could get back to posting 3x/week on the blog. I wish I was fluent in Korean. I wish I still took pictures. So. All those things battle with one another. And while (lovely, lovely) crash days usually lose to the other things, even those things are only getting like 52% effort from me.

Anyway. No picture today. Maybe tomorrow. But not today.
