This is (as proclaimed by me) Casual Week at work. We’re closed for mid-winter recess, so students and teachers are not here, so it’s just skeletal admin staff. So in MY mind that means Casual Week.

So, a comfy easy outfit for the start of the week. The 12,957th wearing of the black Old Navy Luxe tee, the 47,890th wearing of the BP plaid button-down…and I can’t even count high enough to say how many wears I’ve gotten out of these jeans and sneakers. Suffice it to say THEY OWE ME NOTHING.

I like my clothes to earn their keep. I like to be able to wear each item a lot and for a long time. I tend to buy “fast fashion” (Target, Old Navy, etc) cuz it’s affordable, but I make those suckers last a LONNNGG time. I had about a minute when I was able to splurge on more “conscious” brands but that era passed quickly, ha ha. It’s a shame the “good choices” have to also be the expensive options. But I can help balance that out by getting a LOT of wears out of each item.

And I’ve been looking back to see what I was wearing “One Year Ago Today,” so figured I’d share that here as well.
